Evidence is building that some terpenes may have medicinal benefits and contribute to the “entourage effect”. Anandia Labs utilizes gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to quantify 39 terpenes commonly found in cannabis. Combining the terpene profile with the cannabinoid profile can provide a detailed chemical fingerprint of a strain.
