Pesticide Analysis


ACMPR has a short list of pest control products that are approved for use in the production of medical cannabis. Pesticide, fungicide, and plant-growth regulator (PGR) use in the cultivation of cannabis is currently unregulated when grown by patients. Residual levels of these potentially dangerous chemicals can be unsafe to consume, especially through vaporization or smoking. No pesticide residues tolerance limits have been established specifically for cannabis. Anandia Labs has used the Oregon white paper entitled “Technical Report: Oregon Health Authority’s Process to Determine Which Types of Contaminants to Test for in Cannabis Products, and Levels for Action” as a guideline to decide which pesticides to screen for that pose a risk to consumers.

Our validated multi-residue pesticide analyses are performed using UPLC with tandem mass spectrometry detection (LC-MS/MS). Currently, we perform a pesticide screen analyzing for 51 pesticides, fungicides, and PGRs and provide positive confirmation down to single digit ppm concentrations or lower:
